I am retired but can't sit still. I bought an old piece of junk golf cart one year ago. Today I completed the job.

Did all the work myself including the painting. Thanks to all who helped me a while back get my 1950's compressor back going. Worked like a dream when painting.

Installed a new workhorse front cowl I got from a friend. The cowl sit in the corner of his shop for 12 years but still had the plastic on it. I like the vintage look.

Rebuilt engine , installed 4 inch lift with 22x11x10 tires and wheels.
Installed a 28 degree driven clutch. I either rebuilt or replaced every part on this cart. This thing will climb a wall :bounce:

Nice job

Do you have a good place to run that monster?
Not really :bounce: I hate to get it dirty lol
Might use it in the Christmas Parade this year. Good conversation piece in shop :)
Hope being you were in the body shop business Don you didn't see the orange peel on side of body :drink::drink: Got a few runs also, not where one could see it though.
Been a while since I sprayed anything other than a water hose
A nice pin stripe would make it look good also. What ya think ?

Nice job........

But we have a problem....you "Completed a project"

Are you trying to make the rest of us look bad? We justify our garages so we can do projects. If a job is 'Completed', the SHMBO has grounds to complain. We don't want that.....

Unless of course you are married to that rare lady who 'understands'.......like my wife does (she has an art addition....so she has no grounds to complain)

Nice job!

What is a "28 degree driven clutch"?
On these carts there is a clutch on rear axle called the driven clutch. One on engine is drive clutch.
You can install a 28 degree clutch that came off the MPT 1200 workhorse. This is the cart with dump bed on rear with a load capacity is 1200 pounds.

When you install a 4 inch lift kit with larger tires and wheels ( mine has the 22x11x10 ) then when you go up a large hill you need more pulling power and this 28 degree driven clutch that comes with these work carts will give you that extra boost up that hill.

Otherwise they bog down when pulling that hill with the standard 36 degree clutch. You can actually buy just the center part with ramp buttons and get the same results using the stock 36 degree clutch. Hope I didn't confuse you lol

I got two more carts in my shop waiting on me to start. I also have that rare lady who has been with me over 50 years. She even helps me when I ask.

3Putt. I think you got a hole in one on that cart.
I did and thanks for the compliments. I actually have made four hole in ones in my life. One of those I don't really count. I pulled the shot way off course but it hit a tree limb and in the hole it went. I sort of laughed about that one because it was the last hole on front nine and I was several dollars down on my bets. Lucky is always good. One of playing partners asked me if I was going to count that lol:beer:

Thanks for trying. I assumed 28 degrees meant something like friction angle, degrees of wrap on a chain, ...
