Long story short- saw the ad, called them up and they still had it. Drove and paid the man the money he was asking for ($40). I've never used one, but figure it can come in handy for diagnostics use on several of my autos. It's good for model years 2003 and earlier based on my research. (It's a Snap-On Vantage MT2400)

Yea - after checking fleabay for any auctions on that model, I saw that the prices ranged in the couple hundred dollars and up. Before I called, I wondered if an extra "0" wasn't accidentally left off the $40 price, or that it actually worked. My first use is to check out the O2 sensors on my daughter's Honda Accord.

Sweet deal. It has a lot of information in it.

Describe the seller.

Co-owner of an automotive repair shop in an "above average" area of metro Atlanta. They had a more sophisticated diagnostics machine for $4-500 and some tap/die sets, but I wasn't interested either.

hey - I just checked, the CL ad is still up for the meter I bought:

tap & die set ad is up too:

and I guess I missed this - it must have already been sold because he didn't mention it when I called or visited:

Are you nuts, I'd have bought everything.

I've already got a large MAC tap & die set - and like I mentioned, the welder was already sold.
