My Legacy Epoxy Floor

My floor is about 30 years old, but is new to me oil stains and all. I rented a polisher and 36 grit paper, after three hours of sanding 540 sq.ft. I decided to return and rent the diamond polishing wheel. That wheel made a ton of difference, easier to use, more efficient, and a better experience than the paper. I will edit and upload photos as I go.

That's just the primer coat. It always looks a bit patchy, low gloss.

View media item 61214If i were to do it over I would loose the white and only used the black and red flakes.

View media item 61215I had my garage doors up 2" above the floor. I finished putting the coating down then went in to take a shower. As I was getting out of the shower I heard lightning and the downpour began. I was out of epoxy and wound up clearing right over it. It is not ideal but it has held up for a year without a problem.

Glad it is holding up well. If you ever want to freshen it up and take another swing at those flakes give us a ring.

After sanding, could I single coat color and chip or would I need to do two coats of color?
