I always wanted a house on lots of acres with a giant garage. Unfortunately I’m stuck with this 2 car garage at my current house. When I moved in 5 years ago I installed a tile floor and then got busy with the rest of the house.
I’m putting in brushed aluminum base molding and chair rail. I had an electrician install 16 recessed lights with LED bulbs. Here is the progress so far.

Most of that other junk will be moved to the basement.

Floor is shiny because I just mopped it.

Floors look awesome. Not sure about working on cars a lot on them but they do look good. Any future plans that you already have in the to-do lists that you can share by any chance?

My credit card is getting lots of use. I was going to install one of those mini split HVAC systems until I saw the prices. Since its winter I needed heat so I purchased an electric 34K heater to be installed next week. It’s an Ouellet 10,000 watt heater, Model# OASU10000T from Northern Tool.

Costco has these 18g cabinets on sale so I put my credit card to work. I’m going to buy 2 more base cabinets separately. Looking forward to getting these delivered in about a week.

The New Age Cabinets are nice! I got the 12 piece Bold Series from Costco last month, love them.

The cabinets were delivered yesterday. Gave the truck driver $20 to help carry in the tall cabinets since they were too tall to pull in on the pallet. These are 18g metal and they look built well so far.

Thought I’d share a few new pictures. My garage is nothing compared to some of the shrines I see posted here but it’s the best I can do at my current house.

Cabinets are installed and the heater is set up and it’s nice and comfy in here to play in the 20 degree weather. I bought a bunch of stuff to supply music and video to pass the time when just hanging out.

I still haven’t pulled the plastic off the aluminum base moldings yet. A backsplash has not yet been picked out. I haven’t had the chance to install the aluminum chair rail to the wall yet.

All my tools are in that Craftsman box and I haven’t put anything the in new cabinets yet.

Looks nice. How far off the wall is that heater?

In the picture the heater looks closer than it really is. It only needed to have 6 inches of clearance and we installed it about 8 inches away.

What kind of tile is that?

I’m not sure the brand of tile but I made sure my friend at the tile shop knew what was being done with it. No problems with it so far.
