Hi everyone i have been looking on this forum for a good few years but never posted.

I now decided to start a thread about my little workshop.

I say little but only compared to some workshops i have seen in America. Its now stands at 16' wide by 52' long 10' hight. It is split into 3 parts, i have a machine shop that is 16' by 12', a X studio now museum come man cave that is 16' by 16', and in the middle is my main workshop 16' by 24'.

I built the first 16' by 40' a few years back with no previous experience in building, i had a fair bit of knowledge but not much hands on.

Anyway time for some pictures.

I have loads more phots of the build ect but it would take forever to upload them.

Today me and my mates finished the new metal roofing as the felt was in bad condition. I will take some newer photos of the workshop as it stands. Everyday it is changing in the hope i get it around to how i want it.

It might not be perfect but im happy with it and its still standing after 3 1/2 years.

All comments welcome

Howdy X2 from Oklahoma!

I'm guessing the UK is your location, so if you would like to reveal it, you can call me wrong:bounce:

Great to have you posting. Your shop looks like a nice place to be:thumbup:

Welcome. 16 x 52 is pretty decent anywhere. More about the motorcycles and do they use the term 'man cave' in the U.K.?

Hi everyone yeah im in the uk, i use man cave very loosely, my wife calls it a junk room. Its more a place to keep all my toys and collections away from my kids, lol.

As for the bikes, i build modify and work on bikes, car and what every comes along. My main job is a full time carer for my wife.
I use my workshop as and when i can but always on Thursday evenings as i run a youth club teaching local kids how to fix motorbikes.

Some pictures of the bikes i have done and some the club has done.

Wow this board moves fast.

Hi everyone a little bit of an update, in my workshop i went for the normal route or storage using kitchen cabinets with a kitchen worktop. This was ok but always annoyed me as it wasn't what i planned.

After a bit of looking i found some nice new cabinets and my lovely wife got them for me as a Christmas present.

I had a few hours in my workshop last nigh and made some progress. Extremely happy with the look now.

Each unit is 1000 w X 1000 h X 480 d. Very heavy duty made of about 2mm. Really happy for only £25.00 each. Have another 2 to fit then i think i will vinal wrap them in a gloss red to match my Snap-On tool box and motorbike ramp.

Well this week i have started to fit my other 2 large filling cabinets, the first one is where my sink has been so had a big change of plans with sink and the plumbing.

First of a new smaller sink was offered up into some worktop. Then came the fun bit making the hole in the filling cabinet for the sink.

Got the sink fitting nice just needed to sort out the plumbing, with the odds i had kicking about i just couldn't make it work as clearance under the sink is super reduced as i still want to use the top draw. Quick trip to the plumbing shop sorted out the waste situation, also on the feed side of things i brought a single fitting tap that has a heating element inside and gives instant hot water with out anything else needed.

Will take some more photos tomorrow after i finish the connection. One more cabinet to go the onto the next job.

Well I made some small progress. I only had half hour to pop down my workshop. My wife is having a rough time at the moment, her Lupus is being stupid.

So now i have fitted the new heated tap in the sink. Fitted most of the waste pipe work but i needed a 90° bend and didn't have any. But that can be fitted with everything else in place.

All that's left is to fit the last bend on the waste, tighten up the water pipe to the tap and wite the tap in. Oh and run some silicone around the sink.

Only one more cabinet left to fit and all 4 are done. Its really moving in the direction i have always wanted.

Well I managed to get out to my workshop for a few hours this evening. Finally got the sink plumbing finished and wired up the tap. Also got the last filling cabinet installed.

My workshop is finally taking shape and im finding more and more free floor space. Another job was installing a taller cabinet to hold all my can and bottles ect. No photos of that side of the workshop yet.
