OK, going to try a few more pictures. Now before you get ?'ing the painting...... I like to paint so the floor and walls will probably not look like this come summer. And probably be diff the following summer too. Just wanted to brighten the place up and had a bit of extra paint in this color. As I post this the garage has 3 pieces of furniture I am refinishing for the wife.

What color are your walls? I've been thinking of using a linen white to get a warmer tone than the cool crisp whites many people use. How about the floor - is it just painted? epoxy? When the time comes I'd like to have a similar light gray colored floor.

Thanks Folks. Ceinling, believe it or not the builder had too much free time. Each outline is what I can grasp as an old John Deere tractor. I remember the outline from the good old days on the farm. The entire ceiling is stucco then imprinted. Really neat but I was two months after moving in,lookijng up one day and finaly noticed the tractors. Actually very neat to see.

Walls are ,hmmmm, a deep skin tone if that descibes it. They say that lighting is important when redoing furniture or really any project for that matter, but I find the surrondings play a big part in what you see. I just refinished a rifle stock for my son inlaw. He really likes what I did but then I put it up against the wall for a background and it just popped.

Floor is an epoxy paint but I did not go with the kits, I just bought the paint. I do mechanical as well and know that the floor is going to take a beating. But I enjoy painting and doing things like this so I am ok with that. I know it will sound unethical almost but I ran my floor with my belt sander and an oxide belt. Washed it off and painted away. Once it was dry I found it too bright and knew the motorcycle would leave tracks so I took some blue oil paint and a white wash brush. 1/8 of an inch of paint in a pan, dip the WW brush and tap tap tap tap, took and while and the wife still thinks I am nuts but if played right being nuts can be a good thing! But it does hide the tire tracks. Never hold up as good as a proper epoxy job but its tough enough and cost me about 1/3 of what I had calcutaled before thinking how I would abuse it anyway.

I'm planning on doing the same with the overhead storage. Too much stuff on the floor in my garage and I have 10' ceilings so the top 2' around will be a 2' deep shelf. Might put some doors or something to conceal it in the future... who knows! :) Like the idea though and your garage looks great.
