My look inside a failed Milton V coupler

I've had the valve get stuck on all of mine, simply reconnect it and it re-seats. Has only happened once to each connector and still when plenty new. I don't have trouble pushing them on but they do require a fair amount of force. I got some coilhose universal afety couplers a couple weeks back and I have to say, other than a little extra bulk, they are much nicer to use. I also like the fact that I can depressurize a piece of equipment without disconnecting the coupler.

The Mllton in my video became stuck at 120 PSI and wouldn't reseat. It was the third one that did this. I suspect that it might happen more often at higher pressures.
As far as the Coilhose is concerned, I tried one as you can see in this video:

After that I tested a Oetiker swing coupler as seen in this video:

In this video you will notice that the Coilhose is leaking badly. It was brand new.
Neither of these couplings are high flow.

If I were giving a pressure rating to the Milton V coupler it would be 110PSI maximum.
It's rated at 300 which is absurd to say the least.

i dont have issue connecting mine at 175psi, but my wife struggled for 5min until she handed it to me to connect the air blower to the hose.

I'm not surprised at all your wife couldn't connect it given that it takes over 50 pounds of force at that pressure. I wouldn't want to be in the same room if it were connected to a hose at that pressure and then disconnected.

I've kept an eye on that thread, watched a video. I just don't get it.

It's not complicated.
I wanted a coupling that was easy to connect/disconnect and was push to connect and pull collar to disconnnect. I also wanted it to be reasonably quiet and not forcibly eject the plug.

I couldn't find it so I made it myself.

Simple as that.
