Went to Ace to buy an outdoor faucet assembly and a
mini tube cutter. Both made in USA, great.

I needed to buy some pipe thread sealing tape, too.
Made in China, didn't buy it. Bought some goop that
was USA, and it works good.

Just now I looked down at the basement floor where I
was working on the pipe and I see a partial roll of white tape.
I pick it up, it's Dayton Electric, made in USA pipe sealant tape,
left over from when they built the house 19 years ago.

My lucky day.

Yet another good reason to be a pack rat. I know that most of the stuff in my stash is old enough that the likelihood of it being made here is very high.

So by using teflon tape that's 19 years old you've supported American jobs. Right.

How did that made in China tape get to your local store in upstate NY? Did the Chinese hand deliver it?

Whatever makes you feel better, then more power to you, but there's a lot more to it than COO.

Good reply bw77. I buy American as often as I can. I do look at the COO and if I possibly can I buy USA. We know who has, not the blinders, but the blindfold on.

I stopped by tractor supply to pick up a water trough automatic float valve for the goats near my house. Not my goats but I am tired of them not having water and animal control does not seem to care.

Anyway, I picked up the box and noticed that it was made in the USA by Miller Manufacturing. Shocked, I grab one and head home with it. Start putting it together and find that one of the two mounting brackets did not have the screw holes threaded. :headscrat
