This is my service box I take around the park to perform my smaller tasks. I still have to glue some acrilic to the shadow boards. When Im out working on rides these tools will do the trick most of the time.

The wheels are 6 1/2 X 2 1/4
The Axle is 3/8" Stainless rod. This box has about 80 lbs in it and the axle is not even starting to bend or buckle.
The lid slides are made from metal ball bearing rials so the top opening and closing is very smooth.
The latch handle is metal but the latch proper is a sturdy plastic, I dont think this would break easily under normal usage. The latch handle is lockable but that lock is more for show. It is only going to keep an honest person honest. It could easily be broken into with a good pry bar.
The sliding pull handle is made from steel and functions smoothly. When not extended the handle also serves to keep 1/2 of the sliding top from opening.
The sliding top has two compartments that have lids that are fairly strong, however not waterproof. I had mine out in the rain last week and you could see the condensation inside the box. Also water will gather in the slots where the sliding top lid closes. Overall
I giver this box a 4 out 5 stars. I give this product my recommendation because it's strengths far out weigh its weaknesses. Or its weaknesses can easily be remedied by some basic care and common sense. For instance if its raining either dont take it out or bring some thing to cover it up with. Theft prevention is the other problem that is easily solved. Just bring your toolbox inside when you are done. don't leave it on the job site.

Wow! Nice set-up!

I once toyed with the idea of taking one of the rolling baggage carriers that people take on planes and converting it to haul tools around. It has the telescoping handle to shrink down for packing but extends out for easy rolling. It didn't work out well enough to use daily, though I still have my original jig.

Yours is really well thought out.

Thanks, This foam will also become coated with WD-40 as i oild my tools after I clean them. The tool inserts will become self oiling. This took me all of one evening and most of one morning, around 8 hours.

If I loan something out I write down who has it on a little piece of paper and put it in the slot they borrow from. If they loose, break or otherwise fail to return the tool they pay for it. If they. Refuse to replace the tool I write their name real big on the side of the box, what they stole from me and how much they owe me. That person will never borrow another tool from me again ever again.

I like what you did. In the long term I think you may revisit some of your cuts and add a 'finger hole' as that looks like it would be difficult to get to some of them if it is really stiff foam.

I have always liked those Keter carts but never had a need for one myself. They are either too much or too little for every task I have looked at them. Good to see one in use in the real world.
