Here’s the haul:
- Bahco garden pruners. Made in France. $10
- Wilde 25” pry bar. Made in USA (right here in Kansas, actually.) An amazing deal at $8.75
- CDI ⅜” drive torque wrench. 10-75 lbs-ft. Made in the USA. $50
I have several other pruners, but I’ve been wanting one of these for a while. I have some other Bahco garden tools and they’re very high quality.
I’m very impressed with the Wilde pry bar. Wilde is a company that makes pliers, screwdrivers and other tools and they’re focused on USA production. I have other Wilde tools that I really like.

Wilde is the OEM for Craftsman’s prybars. The company used to mostly focus on contract production, but they seem to be branching out and looking for more retail sales. Tools like this prybar never used to come in retail packaging like this.
I’ve been looking for a new ⅜” drive torque wrench to replace my aging Craftsman. My Craftsman 10-75 lb-ft torque wrench has worked really well, but it’s now about 10 years old and is showing its age.
This CDI wrench was one of the best bargains I could find in a torque wrench in this range. It’s military surplus, according to someone at HE. It’s has what appears to be date codes from 1989, so it appears to be pretty old. But, it’s in new condition and works great. This wrench does have a couple downsides. It’s relatively short and the head is pretty thick.
Here’s the CDI wrench compared to the Craftsman that will be retiring.
The CDI has a dual pawl round head mechanism with around 60 clicks per revolution.
