It's getting COLD in my garage! After reading many post on the subjects between electric, gas and IR, I finally bit the bullet and purchased the 45,000 BTU Mr. Heater Natural Gas Garage Heater. Got it on sale from Northern Tool for $399.99. I also used a promo code and got a $25 gift card.
I received it yesterday by UPS. It arrived (thankfully) in excellent shape! No damage! I installed the hanging brackets and put a couple 2 by 4's between the 2 ft studs in the ceiling to lag bolt it to. I have it clamped up for now until I can get some lag bolts.

I will be doing the wiring, plumbing and duct work myself. I will post my progress as I go. Hopefully I can get this up and running fairly quickly!

I have the same heater in my 24x40 garage. You're gona love it, but insulate the ceiling and it'll work even better.

Nice garage "Mod" !
Best investment you can do especially on cold days!
I keep my garage at 50 when not in use and crank her up when working on stuff.
It's nice to have another place to go on those winter dazes!

I do plan on insulating the ceiling and the rest of the walls... eventually. Would like it to be warm out there while i'm doing it! :)

I plan to keep mine around 45-50 all the time too, I want to put a sink out there and I don't want it freezing!
