Seeing this board i was hoping that my tool hoarding compulsions wouldnt activate till i was older, But now i am afraid the onslaught of this disease is going to be rapid. Less than a year ago i had only one set of old Stanley black and yellow USA screwdrivers, Then I bought a set of Williams Hard handles, then a set of Craftsman mini precision drivers, next were some Craftsman torx drivers, Then i found an SK flat head and a Klien flat head. along with some other regular craftsman screwdrivers. plus a set of Harbor Freight prybars and two sets of picks, I am afraid my condition may be even worse than i thought. Not only am I collecting too many screwdrivers, Its anything with a screwdriver handle! Im drooling over a hard handle 1/4 ratchet i saw on the snap on truck. and i want a set of SK hard handle drivers so badly. I dont want to give in, how can i keep my will strong? Lets have this be a support thread for our issues. get them out in the open. What have you been hoarding lately?

Oh and my socket drawer is filling up, It may overflow soon, and I have just started buying 1/2 drive, I have full sets of 1/4 and 3/8 plus 3/8 allen and torx, And i want to buy a set of metric shallow and deep chrome Williams sockets. Arrgghh and this doesnt even mention all my extensions.

You don't have enough of them to be classified as a problem.

I need to delete the eBay app from my iDevices, its far too efficient and convenient. Too many "good deals" on there that I really don't need.

I already have deleted my eBay apps, but somehow I always find ways to reinvest my meager paychecks in tools that I might need or think I need an extra set of... I wonder if there is a pill that helps with this disease...

I only buy tools I need. Why waste money on "hoards". Only thing I stock up on is motor oil when I find it for free or $1 a quart. It's a consumable that will get used.

I only own about 5 FULL sets of screwdrivers with a coffee can or 2 of misc ones floating around. I like them to be within arms reach.

I quit hoarding/collecting stuff a while back. Instead of another set of screwdrivers buy a tool you dont have already.

Items go both into and out of an inventory.
They only go in to a hoard.
Does your "inventory" classification still stand?

Matt, sorry but you've got the disease. It's curable, you need go have some ovaries installed, or hormone replacement therapy. Most of us find the treatment worse than the disease, and choose to live with it. It is not terminal.
You're in stage 1, hand tools. Wait until it's more progressed, and your collecting things like power tools, and have to have the same tool in cordless, pneumatic, and electric...

You never have a tool problem or too many tools. Now a storage problem, well that is a different issue all together.

Sounds like to me you need a much larger toolbox. Then those drawers will seem empty and it starts all over..
