I guess this thread died? Kevin, I'm right in your area (Mays Landing). I'd love to see how this turned out. I'd like to build a timber frame addition to my house in the future.

Given the timeline I suspect the thread did not die, but judging where he is from Sandy killed it.

His posts are way before Sandy. Sandy wasn't bad here unless you were right on the shore. I PM'd him. Hopefully I'll hear back.

just found this today and enjoyed viewing the pics. I like to save them to my machine so I can review them later. but this build like many others saved their files under about 5 different naming methods. So if I go to the libary for this build they are all out of order. I also noticed some of his pics were out of order on the post itself. Kinda confuses the build. Great build though and I would love to see more timber frame projects.

bighammer, Google "timber frame garage" for loads of pix -- or check out my build for a modernized post and beam (metal plates instead of mortise and tendon). Timber frame makes a nice looking building. . . .

Hey mwbailey we are both from rock hill. I live in Rock Hill Mississippi. Not really a town only a community but I've lived here on and off all my life. Great place and I've followed your build on here too. Great one and I saved all the pics from it. I went ahead and subscribed to it tonight. I think I had before but it wasn't when I checked just then.
