Haha no its a beam imager. They call it a Focus Monitor. Because a fiber laser wavelength is almost visible light, we can't use 20 dollar blocks of acrylic to tune the laser. We need this instead. And its rs232 connectors but it is a proprietary bus more similar to CAN.
