My new 3 car detached garage was completed a week ago, and yesterday I finished the concrete floor using Rustolium Epoxy Garage floor coating kit.
I first power washed the floor two times, swept the floor, power washed again, put on the acid solution that came with the kit, and scrubbed the floor. I again power washed the floor two times, and waited two days for the floor to dry. I then swept the floor one more time and applied the coating per the directions that came with the kit. I used two of the 2-1/2 garage size kits (from Lowe's), and had plenty of paint left over. The painting was the easiest part. I am pleased with the results so far. Hopefully the coating will stand up over time. I now have a total of 6 garage bays.

Awesome garages! Whats the plan for the insides? Is one of your two garages for daily drivers and the other for fun cars or some other arrangement.

Beautiful place. I really like the exposed beams, adds a good contrast.

When I started the garage, I had 6 cars, all more or less daily drivers, but only garage space for three. Now that the second garage is finished, I have in the mean time sold two of the cars, so I guess I need to fill up the two empty spaces somehow!

Looks awesome... How tall are those doors? Love the exposed beams as well, lift going in?

Just spotted the shed now. That must be perfect to hold all of your lawn stuff which means no clutter in the garage.

Frank....Welcome to Garage Journal. Hope you stay around.

Very nice looking garage and the color matches my envy.

If you would, could you post a closer pic of what's on the beams? I know it's not the door tracks, but what is it?

Beautiful garages. Although I generally don't like individual doors, those look great and proper balance for the entire building.

Now for INSIDE . . . Let's SEE what goes in there !!! :D . . ;)

Are the stalls filled with Porsche, Corvette, Camaro or Lambo's ??

Hope you have height for 4 post lift(s) that having a couple low profile keeper cars can have a nice place in the new garages !!

I built the storage building myself about two years ago for just the purpose you stated. The only thing I didn't do was the concrete slab.

Man, this is nearly identical to what I'm thinking... Could you post a pic of a car just in garage enough to clear overhead door? I'd like to see how much room in front of vehicle to wall that looks like... Thanks again, awesome job

Above your first 3 car garage is that a continuation of the house or a loft for the garage? Beautiful styling btw.

As you can see in the attachment, it's lighting fixtures and conduit that was difficult to make out in the previous post.

Shop looks great, floors came out nice!
Thanks. I was a little concerned about using the Rustoleum Epoxy since I read a few people weren't satisfied with their results. When I first mixed and put on the coating, I was surprised how thin it was, but it soon thickened up on the floor as it started to cure. After 24 hours it felt dry but I could fairly easily scratch it with my fingernail. 24 hours later it was much harder, and now 5 days later it is extremely hard. I will start parking cars on it tomorrow.

The old garage is detached from the main house as well. What you see are the windows for the upstairs 1000 sq ft loft/living area over the garage. The stairs up to the loft and door are on the back side of the garage and not visible in the photo.

UPDATE
Since I have been using the new garage for about four months now, I wanted to give an update on the Rustoleum Epoxy floor coating I applied. There are three cars parked full time in the garage - a Mercedes Sprinter van, a Ford Ranger pickup and a Porsche 911.
So far the floor is holding up every well with no noticeable wear, scratches or imprints from tires. I have spilled some ATF on the floor as well as some brake fluid that were both wiped up fairly quickly. The spills left no damage or stains on the floor. Basically the floor looks the same as when I first applied the epoxy coating. At this point I am happy with the Rustoleum product.
