Started posting about my build in the lighting sub forum, but thought I should move it here.
Getting close to finishing the thing. It's a 25x26 with a 12x12 hangout zone on the side. Here are some pics of the build as of a few weeks ago.
This is an awesome site , by the way.

Progress as of yesterday. Siding is on, except for the stucco part of the build on the 12x12 bumpout.

In th first pic on the l.h. side it shows a pair of steps going down, but on the inside shot you do not see anything. Is there a basement or crawlspace under the 12' section?

Thanks guys. No crawl space, it's just that the grade of my lot and the back alley required it to be that way. The house is a 1950s four level side split and when it was built they altered the grades to make it a partial walk out.

I wasn't sure if the neighbours would think the metal siding was too "out there", but some old folks walking past yesterday told me they thought it was neat.

Oh, and the steps on the left hand side are there so that I don't crack my head on the roof when I take the garbage out. There's a sidewalk on that side which is at grade to the alley.

lookin good! ....... holy can lights batman!!!

Thanks!
My buddies are in there right now doing a wainscoting on the lower part of the walls which are insulated pony walls. In the current pictures there's plywood on them. We're going to put on laminate "hardwood" veneer flooring on those areas. We found some cheap stuff they can work with and that sort of matches the exposed glulam beam. I hope it looks cool.
Painters will be in on Friday.
I almost don't want it to be completed, because then I'll have to move stuff in there and spoil the perfection ...

Gosh, that one nice looking garage!
I am imagining cool neon signs, hot muscle cars and fast women mingling in the canlight glow!

Thanks, everyone. It's been a welcome change to be able to park inside, especially as it's been in the -20C range the last week or so.
I don't have anything really fancy to park in there, just the wife's MDX and my 2003 S8.

You have done an Awesome job on your garage project. I bet that the garage warming party will be great in there. Thanks for showing us.

Thank you very much.
Had a couple pals over last night and we had approximately 10,000 beers, listened to tunes and played Gran Turismo 5 all night. It was really mellow and fun. I love the vibe in the garage.
