Snap on Classic 78 Blue, the Guy delivered it for $800 total. It's a little dirty and I was going to pull the drawers out to clean, but didn't know how. What's the trick to pulling the drawers? Pushing the tabs in on the slides?

Here's a crappy cell phone pic

It's funny, I emailed the guy about it a few weeks ago when he first posted it. He had it listed for $1200 and I asked if the price was negotiable, and he immediately said no! So Sunday he emails me back and said he would take $800 and deliver it. It was at my place about 2 hours later. . .

I felt bad for the guy, he was a laid off mechanic, was trying to get up some rent money.

Sometimes people ask crazy amounts because they really don't know what the true value is. Point them to the "Completed Listings" on eBay, and show them the difference between pie in the sky, and what stuff actually sells for. THEN make your offer.

It sounds like the drawers are all busted up and not worth fixing. And it's dirty.

I'll do you a favor--I'll give you your $800 back. Just deliver it to me. I'll save you a headache.

What makes the snap-on cost so much, just curious. I see them on cl all the time but just can't understand why a tool storage bin cost so much. But then again I want it to be known that I am at best a 1 time a week tool user, so my Craftsman seems to do the job just fine at 1/4 of the cost.

Thanks guys, I got her cleaned up today. The drawers are actually very easy to pull once you learn it.

DuluthMN, I have a craftsman box I have had for 15 years, It is full and you have to fight the drawers to open/close them. Even though my SO box is the cheaper model, it is far superior in metal gauge, slides, coasters than the craftsmen. I would never pay retail for a SO box though, just to much money. But when you can pick up a nice, used SO, or other name brand box for 1/5th of retail, you can't go wrong. In five years you could upgrade and get most, if not all of your money back.

Well, if you would like to "upgrade" now, there are plenty of us around here that would be glad to give your $800 back, plus maybe a bit more...especially if you are going to deliver! I'm just over here in Oregon...
