Sale at the junkyard + uncomfortable old desk chair = new desk chair. Yes, I am using this at my desk at work. I've gotten quite a few comments.

Looks super comfy. Manual controls for the win.

Also, if you did have electronic controls you could simply mount a 12v battery then trickle charge your chair every night for a full day of use. That would be funny.

I was wondering about that. I can only imagine the grief a guy would get if he showed up with a powered office chair. :lol_hitti

Many years ago we got some high end office chairs that came with a 30+ page operating manual plus a CD to plug into the computer for more instructions.

My buddy that sells limo has Lincoln ones.

It turns out that a lot of limo builders put all the extra hardware that runs the toys in the back up front where the right front seat goes.
So they end up with a bunch of right seats.
They put chair hardware under them and give the as gifts to dealers.

A guy a my work had a great idea for using a power seat. Find an old 12V cordless drill with good battery and charger, cut off the drill handle and wire into the battery terminals. Mount the handle under the chair to act as the battery receiver. Then you would have a quick release battery pack that could be charged easily.
