are you sure you want white?

I was going to get orange with black trim, but I figured it would be more unique than orange. My dealer also talked me into white, he said it looked awesome in person with the white and black and he was right, the picture does not do it justice.

Looks good! Was the white an extra charge? I might order a little KRA for work, and white would be perfect.

I have the Classic 78 in white with flat black trim and it is not a prob at all. I work at a dealer and just have to wipe it down a couple of time a week.

White with black is one of the rarest SO colors, according to my SO rep, I am the only person in the the Raleigh/Durham area with the box. I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow.

I actually got it for about $1850, my dealer is running a deal on tool storage.

It is cool when it is clean ill say that.

I figured the orange I was gonna go with at first probably wouldnt be any worse to clean since its bright.

No extra charge from my dealer, there were several color options he showed that are available, some not listed in the catalog.

I know I was kidding, its just every thread on GJ has to have someone say they got it for blah blah off craigslist..............

Its a beautiful box, after you work it a few weeks let us know how it holds up being white. I would love to upgrade to a white Master box.

Hey kcaz507...Great looking box in white. You mentioned your dealer is running a deal on tool storage. I've been looking for a similar box in red or yellow...can he hook me up way out here in Washington State? Thanks and I hope you get many years out of your KRA5311.

I dont think so, he is an industrial rep/dealer, the tool storage deal is for employees of my company only from what I understand. My company offers a 0% interest loan for tools, and sales go through this account

Thought I would share an update. After owning the box for a couple of weeks I noticed the drawer divider bar was off, turns out it wasnt welded properly from the factory. I also noticed some scratches on the upper part of my top drawer, they got worse the more I opened the drawer, did some measuring and found that the drawer seemed to be bent, mis-shaped, or the angles of the drawer were not bent properly. I talked to my Industrial rep and sent in a bunch of pictures and they agreed it was not right. So today after waiting 2 months my replacement came in and seems to be good to go. Took some time to get the replacement, im sure due to the color combo. Snap-on really took care of me on this issue.

Someone asked about keeping it clean, its not bad, just a quick wipedown and its good to go.

You mean they replaced the whole box?

I talked to my rep today about my drawer that was messed up on my first box. Turns out im not completely crazy. He spoke to someone at the factory and they found out that the jig they used to bend the top drawer into shape was off .040". My rep had 3 other people in his area that had bought the same box and ended up having the same issue, they only got a new top drawer though, somehow I managed to get a whole box.

Wow, old thread brought back to life:bounce:

I like the white box. A lot!!

As far as keeping it clean, can't be any worse then the finger prints on black.

From new, I would hit it with a little spray wax now and then to keep the pores on the paint sealed and a weekly wipe down will keep it nice. Its all about keeping the paint from oxidizing. A little effort a couple a times a year and that box will shine for decades.

I love white on almost anything. I think your box looks awsome. If I wasn't brainwashed early on that tool boxes are red I would have a white one too.. Good luck.

I'm curious, is the drawer divider welded the full length of its vertical run? On the KRA5315 top chest the left side drawer divider is not welded its full vertical length. Snap-on claims it is designed that way to only be welded at the bottom.

Thanks
