This was my godfathers and we think he purchased it in the 50s . It is slam full of old really cool tools and I cant wait to start cleaning it up and give it nice home in the garage . It has been sitting since he passed away 15 years ago and my folks decided it would be better for me to get it and clean it up than for it to deteriorate any farther .

If anyone can guesstimate the year I would appreciate it . Over this summer I will post a detailed restoration thread .

Wow...that's old school! I'm sure that one could tell some interesting stories.

Do all the drawers work?

All of the drawers I tried moved , but not well . It has had a hard life in a boat shop , so it is full of juniper dust from making these .

Arkangel , theres a LOT and I mean a lot of old school name brand tools . I brought home a hundred or so wrenches to start cleaning and theres more than that left . None of the stuff I brought home was in the box !

I'm glad you are rescuing it! The first shot made me sad and I think Jesus killed a kitten because of it. No snap on box should be treated to such torture of sitting unused and uncared for like that! Now quick.. as Mickey said we need more pics stat!

The most important decision one ever makes is choosing a godfather with old arn.

I've got possibly the same top box. The logos seem slightly different, so our experts may be able to date the two by that.

You'll love it when you get it cleaned up. You'll notice I chose to keep the patina. Lots of steel wool and WD40 will have yours shining in no time.

thnx, jack vines
