Hey folks!

I am pretty new to the forums and I wanted to share my new floor. I was considering the Race Deck tiles or going with the Rust Bullet. I decided to go with RD in the graphite, red and black tiles. It came out awesome! It took my pops and I about 4 hours to lay down with having to cut a whole row next to the wall. Snap lock had awesome customer service and sent my order the day I ordered it. VERY pleased customer here. :thumb up: It totally changed the look of my garage. The tiles in the middle look almost black in the picture but they are the graphite. If anyone is considering the RD tiles, buy with confidence!! Please don't mind the mess on the work bench, I just put the cabinets up and wanted to get them stained before I put anything in there.

Thanks guys! Yes ryanp77, it is. I like it. I wanted to mount a vise but I don't think it would hand that. Other than that, the only other complaint I have is the shelf on the bottom gets kind of "droopy" in the middle because it doesn't have much support. The drawers slide in and out easily and it looks pretty decent. Overall, I am happy with it.

Wow, it's looking great!

I really love the look but worry about the inevitble oil/fluid spill and the cleanup necessary with RD... anyone have any experience with that?

Your garage is nice and clean, any pics of the cabinets all done and stained?

Looks really nice. After I finished the engine swap in my garage I thought my epoxy floor was ruined and I was all set to go with racedeck. But my wife made me clean my floor first and it looks nice again. Oh well...

I was kind of worried about this as well. I'm going to try my hardest to try and not make huge mess but it's going to happen. From what I have read, I don't see any big issues. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.

I will def post some pictures! I had the cabinets made to match our cabinets in the house so I am planning on staining them to match.

Looks nice.
What mess?

Lol the work bench. I'm doing a brake job on the wife's car this weekend so there is stuff strung everywhere to try and get my ducks in a row.

So nothing happened? That's a huge plus and relief for you I'm sure. What did you clean it up with?

BTW I'm new to the "multi-quote" so think I answered 2 questions in one lol. Sorry about that.

The floor looks great, when the tiles are down the whole garage looks different.

I have a row black tiles around the edge of my Racedeck floor too. I did that because I plan on putting down the black rubber baseboard and glue it to the stem wall. I figured the black of the tile and the black of the rubber baseboard would look really nice and make a nice transition. The only problem is, with the black tiles right by the overhead door, they absorb more heat when the sun is shining down on them and they tend to expand a little more than the red tiles I have in the second row of tiles. It isn't really a big deal, but if I had to do it over again I would put a row of light colored tiles on the outside by the overhead door rather than the black ones.

I was relieved. I was sure after a motor swap, building and testing and bleeding a brake system, and so on. But I scrubbed it with some orange grease cleaner and water and it came pretty clean.

I'm looking at RD but wanted to know how the snow and salt cleans up. I have a drain in the center of the garage and was thinking I would use a small area of free flow around the drain.

Any feedback on issues with snow and salt on RD?

You are exactly right. I noticed that as well. The black tiles that are in direct sunlight do get hot. I have a few fans going to help but it's hot either way LOL.

Good to hear!

I think the free flow around the drain would be an excellent idea. I have not had any personal experience with the snow/sand/salt in the winter yet but it will happen. I live in Oklahoma so we get temps from 100+ to 0 with snow. I plan on investing in a janitorial water blade to push off the snow etc. when it melts off.
