Hey guys! I laid my new RaceDeck floor this morning! Easy to install and laid down quick. The wife was skeptical about the floor when I ordered it but now she loves it. Jennifer from RaceDeck was great to work with and answered all my questions promptly. If your curious about a RaceDeck quote don't forget to mention Garage Journal because they give a GREAT discount. If it wasn't for the discount my floors would probably still be bare. Jennifer also included a nice t-shirt but it's way too big for me. I'm a medium and it's an XL. Maybe my Dad can wear it

The alloy and graphite colors are the standard diamond tiles. The black tiles are the Free-Flow. There is small gap between the tiles and my baseboards. I wasn't sure how much the floor might expand in the summer so I left a good inch on each side. The walls aren't prefectly square so the gap varies.

I had a sample of the shiny Tuffshield tiles and loved them, but I was told the sun could yellow or cause the shiny finish to bubble up if they got hot enough. I leave my garage doors open a lot and didn't want to run into any problems down the road. I was surprised how much shine the standard tiles actually have. Here are some pics!

Your garage looks fantastic! nice job on the design and installation. Also, drop a note to Jenn and tell her I said to send you another T shirt in M.

Will do! If you need some more pics feel free to use mine anytime!

Nice looking floor!

For a clean look on my edges I took an exacto knife and quickily cut all the "loops" and "tabs" off the first and last tiles

I think I'm going to do that soon. I was going to when I was installing the floors but then I was thinking if RaceDeck were to come out with some thin flexible edging in the future I could easily snap it in place if I leave the hooks on.

I was skeptical about combining free flow and the standard diamond tiles when I did mine. You have proven it would have looked great! Nicely done. I like it.

Great choice! You will love your new floor. Be sure to post pics!

Great taste. Adds a touch of class. Your garage has a minimalist theme going (in a good way). Great job.

Thank you! My garage isn't very big so I had to keep it simple. Plus, my wife is happy so that's all that matters. haha.
