Amish contractor just finished my new shop in the last couple of weeks. Main part is 40x60 with a 6” floor 4,100 square foot total. built with 16’ stud walls, no wood in the ground. Roughed in for a full bath and wash bay.
Now to get it wired and insulated.
Located in South west Missouri. IMG_5592.jpegIMG_5593.jpegIMG_5595.jpegIMG_5597.jpeg

That is AWESOME. Congratulations, on shop and retirement. Would love to see a floor plan and hear about intended use.

We moved to Missouri from Kansas to retire. Had to down size I had a 60x80 main shop and a 40x80 storage. Everything is so expensive nowadays I had to quit somewhere.
The lower part is going to be climate controlled with a hobby machine shop and general work area.
my wife is going to have a quilting studio in the corner room, also a place for company to stay.
nice bathroom with shower and a small kitchenette.
planing on a 4 post car lift in the big part.
some more photos.
The **** ugly yellow garage is in the way, I am going to move it up the hill and use it to put the mowers and stuff in.

I scored some cabinets on an online auction this week. they built a new jail and selling off the surplus out of the old one. I only got the lower ones the upper ones bought bigger money. I paid 112.00$ for the 30’+ of lower ones. Spent Friday breaking them down and getting them home.
Won a couple of other smaller sets going tomorrow or Thursday to get them home.IMG_5633.jpeg

Is that photo of the cabinets in the jail before you removed them? It seems unusual to have four sinks in a shop.

Yeah, the OP is going to need to buy new countertops, but the cabinets look great! I prolly would have paid up to get the top cabinets as well (average out the total cost). IMHO either the auctioneer instructed his shill to bid the OP up or some other enterprising other bidder in the audience was also thinking that since the OP bought the bottoms, he NEEDED to purchase the tops. Im surprised that the OP has not been offered the uppers by the high bidder yet.

Yea I should have thrown a little more money at the top cabinet, been nice to have a few.
But what I really wanted was the bottom ones.
Got more to tear down and pickup tomorrow.

Those cabinets were a nice snag DE. But just a little friendly advice. I build detention facilities for a living. I’m also the kind of guy that will eat a sandwich that got dropped on my shop floor. But If you got to demo them wear a bunny suite and sanitize the **** out of those. Jails are fn disgusting

They definitely need to be cleaned and sanitize, but i have seen worse. The grossest part was under the sink foot valves, nasty didn’t find any needles but plenty of covers that the mop pushed under there.
we stopped to eat and setting next to my wife she rubbed my leg, I Said do you remember where we came from and what we did. 😩😩
She got up and washed her hands again.
