well its been a while since i post here, but i have been keeping tabs and saving lots of ideas from all the other posts. ill hopefully apply some of them, if funds allow to my new shop space.
i build kustom cars and work on old 50's trucks for a living. gone thru 2 other shop spaces so this is my 3rd space. the layout of this space is perfect for my use being that it has 2600 sf indoors (enough to house my cars and customer work) and 900 sf covered outdoor (for the dirty work). the shop entry faces North so its perfect to keep me out of the South Florida sun and in the shade year round.
first thing we did was pressure clean the floors and lightly cleaned the walls off dust.
this morning i got out there and masked off the area that i wanted to epoxy (this will be "my space" too keep some of my cars and other things).
im sure this is not the "right" way to lay epoxy but i basically poured some right out of the 5 gallon jug and spread it with the roller then went back over it to make it smoother doing sections big enough for the roller handle to reach.
so this will be my dedicated space along with a couch and table or whatever fits.
ill post more pics of the space as we work on it, but for the most part i would like to keep it as minimalist as possible. keeping the focus on the work at hand.
thanks,
Yaril
