Bowling alleys came from a building material salvage yard in El Paso Tx 1-800-322-7235 . I bought mine about 6 years ago. before I even owned property to build my shop on. They had stacks of them each section is cut to about 15' long. Heavy as hell. They were very cheap... I think I got them for $25.00 each .

Wonderful shop. Great workbench top. It occurs to me that car nuts are the ultimate recyclers. Some years ago, a retired carpenter was selling off his stuff, including an untidy pile of oak flooring he salvaged from demolished homes. I bought it and it wound up as flooring for the loft in my shop. It was a lot of work but the result was worth it. I'll bet some of that flooring is at least 80 years old.

When you equip the shop, please post some more pictures.

Very nice. I also have some bowling alley floor, however, it contains alot of steel used in the lamination process. I'm afraid it would damage saw blades. Did you say that yours was already cut? Also, what type of roofing material did you use? From the rainbow picture, is it dimensional or cedar shake?

I cut the lanes to size using a circular saw with a carbide tip blade. Yes it makes some sparks, and throws some metal chips.. but its not really a big deal. Wear SAFTEY GLASSES!!! and gloves!

The shingles are 40 year archeteturals (owen Corning) from lowes tera cota color.

I have to ask, what are you going to put in the verry top parts of the cabnets? I looks like they are about 4-6in tall and 10 feet long?

The top row of doors were a free bonus because of the sloped ceiling. the doors that wiil go over these are about 6" tall and 8' long. Not sure what may end up in there. but I suspect levels saw guides, extension cords....
