I would like to share my garage build for everyone to see and enjoy, Last year i decided that i was going to build me a garage, I was looking at all the different build options out there pole, stick, steel, block and i got on here and found a build thread that i really really liked d110pickup. After seeing his build i decided that is what i was going to do. I purchased a kit from socket systems. My building is going to be 30x40x12 gable type roof with a 12x16 attached to the side.
Now i just need to figure out how to get my pic on here:)

I almost went with the socket system as well but in the end, I did not. Sadly, I forgot why but I don't think it was anything bad about that system. Looks pretty simple to erect.

Keep the pics coming.

this was an exciting day after all that hard work i put into getting it ready for the concrete, i finally got to watch some one else work. lol I had hardly any help with this project so far. It took 37 yards of concrete. 4000 psi i decided not to go with the fiber mesh for a smoother finish.

This was a really exciting moment, lifting the first frame with the trail blazer. I was amazed at how big it looked once the frame was up. i managed to get 2 frames up yesterday. I only get one full day a week to work on it between work and the kiddos. this is the up to date pics hopefully i can get the other four frames up this coming week:thumbup:

Youy didn't start with the end-most tilt-up frame? How do you plan on raising the end frame (furthest away in the latest pics)?

Instead of pulling all the frames in the same direction i have to pull 3 from the rear and 3 from the front, Doing it this way i had to start in the middle to erect the frames. The end frame will tilt up from the rear.

Gotcha. I thought I had seen all the tilt-up anchor bases were pointing the same direction, meaning the frames would all tilt up from the same direction.

Looking forward to more progress.

Awesome build! Thanks for all the pics. I didn't know there was anything like this available.

And I am that brother with the tractor LOL. Sometimes I think my brother puts more hours on my tractor than me LOL!! (I have a Kubota 2350).

Very nice effort so far!
I hope the weather is on your side since it seems to be a bit volitile lately.

Nice job so far. Do you pier holes go down to the frost line? Do you plan on attaching the garage to your house? I am in the planning stage of my garage build and really like the idea of socket systems but want to attach garage to home.

It's a monolithic (floating) slab, this kind of slab doesn't need to be at frost level. The peir box's are 30'' inch deep from the ground add 6' to the top of the slab makes it 36'' total.
No it's not attached to my house, i dont see why you couldn't though.
Check out d110pickup his build sold me on socket systems

Looks good, did socket systems provide any of the drawings/plans for the foundation and structure?
