$250 and its a string system as most of you know. I need to machine some new poles for the wheel clamps (Can only do up to 16" wheels right now!) I am extremely happy with this machine! It is a string machine as some of you might know and to me that is simply fantastic. As I have worked in this industry for a long time I have found some problems with the optical heads. The main problem I have found is on low cars the toe beam can be to close to the bottom of the car and cause a false reading. A line machine is easily seen that it is touching the splitter and so false readings go away! I cannot afford a sweet new machine with the front optical bar (The best system without a doubt) so strings it is for me! I need to purchase some more sensor wires only have 2 any ideas on best place to purchase them?

After optical I can't see EVER going back to the old way unless it's for hobby use.

I have had problem with head mounted optical giving false readings you put a toe sensor to close to the bottom of a car. The average splitter height I see might be about 2" ground clearance and sometimes I have had to take them off with optical heads if they are running a large wheel size and that is a PITA. I can tell you its going to give you a false reading almost every time when to close on optical. Also, it might only skew the numbers a small amount and for me that would be very bad. I am a very low volume shop and toe-line is accurate when setup correctly. Also, it was $250 and I have discovered it is working in fantastic fashion with all the upgrades to do up to 19" wheels already installed and I found the 2 missing cables inside the machine! Also 8 sets of extra strings! I would love to have a reflector setup but I am a one man show. No way I am spending that kind of cash on a machine that gets such little volume of use. It might take me another 5min over the wireless optical hunter I have used in the past at other shops.
