Here is a picture of my new tool box. I picked it up for $800 today. The picture makes it look small but man is it huge next to my old 27" combo.

Did I get a good price on the box? It seemed good compared to the garbage that people were trying to sell in the same price range.

Btw is anyone familiar with the locking system on this style of box? Some of the drawers don't always lock the first time. I have to slam it a few times and re lock it again. I am hoping it won't take much to adjust

I have a Mac tech 1000. Had the same issue with drawer locking. When you turn the key it turns a shaft that crosses to the back of the box & lifts or lowers (depending on which way you turn the key) a bar that has hooks that grab the back of the drawers. I pulled the bottom drawers & found some trash jamming that bar. Cleaned it out & it works like new.

Thanks guys. I am pretty excited, unfortunately the box is locked up in the shop until 7 a. I just got Iit dropped off in time before the foreman locked the door. I did not even get to put a single tool in it yet.

That sounds like a great i dea. I will pull out a few drawers tomorow and see whar kind of cr@p is behind there.

I almost sold my soul to he snap on man, but i had a hard time swallowing finance payments similar to my truck lol

I agree the macsimizers are some of the best boxes but the drawer layouts are not my favs

good deal. My bosses macsimizer is a nice box but... after using it for who knows how many years the detents are not so good at holding the drawers in while moving it. This can be a bad thing when working around low wing aircraft. other than that it is an awesome box

I buy to resell and would have given $800 easily for a Macimizer and made a nice profit provided it is in decent shape.

Pic is not good so can't really see condition so I award probable suckage:lol:

Thanks bindernut, I pulled out the bottom drawer and the was a keychain utility knife and a spare key for my toolbox. Now the locks work perfectly.
It Is nice to have some extra room, I'll try to get some better pics up tomorow
