Anyway - i bought the lot next doo to my house and on it was a nice 24x20 garage. This past weekend I started to clean it up - gonna use it to motorcycles - got couple monthes till race season so won't have time to do much but went and cleaned out 1./2 of it (Waiting on a dumpster). It's not nice but its mine

Nice buy and always best to own your shop, not rent. Seems kinda small, but only for car guys. For bikes, perfect. Easy to heat and cool. Enjoy it!!

I worked out of a 10x10 bedroom in my basment for 10 years - this is a huge upgrade.

I'm with ya. Until now, I've been working on my cars outside in the snow:

Now this is in the works (also a 20 x 24):

Second that. I bought a house about a year ago with a 25x25. Not huge but it houses my sled, camaro, wifes sled, four wheeler, and tool box. Also its all mine.

Word! I'm tired of laying in the dirt with the wind whipping dust, rain, or snow in my eyes.

On a side note, I have a broken Audi C4 too...

Needs;

In order.

First is walls to keep the wind down.

Second is a roof so you can work in the rain or snow.

Third is a hard floor so you can roll things around easy.

Anything else is just a luxury

Seriously! I don’t think some of you know what a “GARAGE” is LOL!
I need a full blown garage to work in so unfortunately this is what mine will stay like this, with the possibility of a second floor some day

Riiiiiiing ding ding ding ding......... RD, RZ

I would sooooo love to have an RZ500. I've got a 1977 RD400 in pieces for the last 5 years :( I found an auto restorer that liked bikes. I wanted a show bike I would keep forever and ride. This was the bike I realllllly wanted in school. Got it 20 year later.

The restorer gent stripped it down to every nut and bolt, powder coated the frame, re-chromed everything, was about to start reassembly, then gets sick, is diagnosed with cancer and passes away in a few months :shocking: Poor ******. He was cool guy too.

So now I have boxes of parts and a few beautiful shiny bike pieces just sitting. I have GOT to finish my garage.

Anyway, beautiful bikes, and awesome workspaces to everyone who posted pics.

RZ 350=scary fast, deceptive when someone tells you the displacement. An old friend of mine who machines aftermarket pieces for KTM was custom building aluminum frames to house RZ 350 motors.
As for poor pre garage stories, I once changed an exhaust valve from a 351 W ford van in a Canadian tire parking lot. Poverty is a wonderful motivator

Dude, don't ever sell garage space short, if it's got 4 walls and a roof and contains toys or tools it's like paradise lost, my garage is the first one I've ever had, I used to work in the parking lot of my condo complex (to many annoyed looks) or my buddies driveways so I feel your former pain.
