Did they just spread the cement dry around that border course of pavers?

They actually dug down a few inches and mixed concrete and made a little beveled ramp around the perimeter. That will allow the grass to grow right up over the cement and right next to the paver for a clean look. I'll try to get a better picture of the backside of the pavers.

Things have been moving slowly and most of the work we've been doing is emptying the 40' container and unpacking our ****.

We did finally get a driveway though.

The guy painting the car is obviously a Camaro nut and this car has 473 miles on it.

A bit late, but they did the same thing at my daughters house on her patio. Hand mixed, very dry. Looks good as long as it holds up !

Finally got some actual garage work done. The guys from Garage & Beyond swung by today to do some grinding and apply some sealer.

Here's what the Chevelle looks like after some new paint.

Looks like copper in the garage, but changes to a nicer orange color out in the sunlight.

Tell us more about that garage floor. What type of sealer? Was there any kind of tint in it? I sealed the garage floor in my prior house and it never looked that glossy, even when it was wet.

That would be Photobucket holding me hostage for money. I've exceeded my bandwidth limit. All better now.

It came to just over $5k, but that included another step of sealer due to the moisture issues in the slab as well as me adding the same coating on the walls.

The G&B guys were great and plan to have them come back and do the floor of my gunvault in a nice camo chip pattern.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone and already have their contact info to my uncle for his floor.

Isn't baseboard heat super inefficient still? I'm just asking because it looks like you went all out on the house and I saw it in there.

I didn't want forced hot air and that would have saved me a ton of money. I guess my other option would have been radiant, but never even considered that. Baseboard seems to be the norm up here and that's what I've always had in my houses.

The heating system we installed is super efficient and even though the house is 3 times the size of the one we replaced, it cost 1/2 as much to heat. I'm sure it being built to Energy Star compliance helps with that also.

Thanks guys. The guys from G&B were great to deal with. Matt had been up a few times to check the moisture in the slab and give me other options. They got you covered with anything you need for floor covering!

Really nice results, and i like that it was continued under the stairs and up the walls.

I tried to unbolt the step & platform to make the job easier, but it was an impossible task. I think they thought I may be parking a car on them by the way they built it. :)

Hello Patrick (Pate), thank you for giving us the opportunity, trust and confidence to install your garage floor.

For anyone interested, the slab had a high moisture reading, so we applied a waterproofing primer first, that withstands up to 20lbs of vapor pressure. Next, we applied 1005 solids epoxy base coat and full broadcast of chips. Finally we sealed it with a fast cure polyaspartic sealer.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Patrick, feel free to contact us anytime if you ever have any questions or concerns. Enjoy your garage.
