Hey yall. I was cleaning out a shop at work and I was given an old walker front end lift. It's a model number 93696 2.5 ton. I got it home and started playing with it, and it leaks fluid from the large cylinder. Does anyone here know anything about these air lifts? Can it be rebuilt?

While I'm a fan of using obsolete tools, do you have an actual use for a bumper jack (more to the point, do you have a vehicle that has a bumper you can lift on...)?

I have one, but that's because I built tube bumpers for my first samurai. nothing else I own has a lift-able bumper.

Hmmm, I suppose with a few vehicles you might use the side rail...

Different use that I've seen. Local small engine guy extended out the frame and the lifting arms. Braced it up very well and uses it to lift atv's, mowers, and whatever else he is repairing. Excellent idea that hasn't failed him in over 10 years.
I ended up with the family garage business but had no real need - I have a handy lift -so I gave it to my good brother for the same project. Still a work in progress at this point.
