So I picked up this set up and estate sale today. A little rough but I think it would restore very nicely. I only spent $200 on the entire set up.

I can't for the life of me find the date code on either of the boxes. The only thing I can find a date code on is the little tool tray inside the top box. It states that it's a 1970 tray.

Really looking forward to restoring it.

nice find. it can be difficult to see the Snap-on info, but it should be there. using a magnifying glass, look at the backside of the two pieces for Snap-on info. if no luck, tilt the magnifying glass at different angles while closely watching for the info you seek.

i'd clean up the boxes and simply maintain their integrity without refinish.
