Been a member here since 2006ish I think. Had a nice 750SF attached 3 car once upon a time, then fell on some pretty dark and hard times. Picked myself up, dusted myself off, got back in the mix. Spent a few years slaving, finally landed a good job. Sadly during that time a foreclosure and bankruptcy ensued. Continued to press on. Talked to a lender last fall, found out we were actually excellently positioned to buy a home after doing some maneuvering and saving. So we started looking, and fell in love with the first house we looked at (we looked at plenty more but NOTHING compared at the same price point).
So without further adieu, I give you my "Odd Garage."
Notice the little protrusion on the left. That's a third side entry bay.
Decent size on the two car side, nice kick back up at the front for my tool box and a bench (that cabinet will most likely be making an exit).
Has AWESOME ceiling height in the two car side. Sadly there's a slight incline to the floor, so no lift here.
Brought my baby home from our previous rental today too.
The one car bay is 12x20, the two car side is 20 x 27 deep with exception of the door area (mud room). I figure the two car side is going to be a tight fit (2005 Pacifica and 2012 Passat will both be going in) but it should work.
No huge plans as of yet. Some LED fluorescent style lights, build a work bench, put up some cabinets, etc. One day in the future I'd like to add on to the one car side by building it out to the front of the two car bay, and creating a much larger area for storage, etc.
Anywho, that's my reintroduction.
