Hey guys, here are some pictures of my old welding cart. I used 1 1/4 bar grating for the table top and bottom of the cart. The top plate is about 5/16, so thick. By welding the top plate to the bar grating it acts like a much thicker plate with out the expense of buying a thick plate of steel, yet still maintains the structural integrity of a thicker plate. I have used this table for several years for small projects around the house, and have never had any issues of warpage.

Thought this design may be a little cheaper for some people and a lot easier to move around since it does not come close to weighing what a solid piece would way.
