Hi.
Been lurking for a few months now trying to get ideas and trouble shoot some things
So we recently moved into a older house that has a 3 car garage. The former owner did a hidious paint scheme, but I looked past it. After getting all settled in our house, it was time to work on "my one car garage".

I had alot of work ahead of me. For starters the garage had a sub-panel eletrical box " Federal Pacific". I knew right alway this had to go after doing some research on it. That was first to go. Then came the 4ft T12 light fixtures. I decided to go 2 4FT T8's.

It was time to fix the ceiling. There were very large holes, broken sheetrock in some areas. I purchase 1 4X8 sheetrock and went ot town. Next was to tackle the hidious paint that was on the walls. I have no idea what they were trying to accomplish, but it's probly the worst Ive seen. I decided on a netural color. ( left over paint) and added some baseboards.

Living in Texas, WE NEED A/C. I knew the 1980 units that was in the wall was on its way out. I picked up a 12,000 btu unit and it chills the room in 20mins, after an 1 hour I have to set it at auto. :)

Now it came down to the floor. I must have been stuck st this point for weeks deciding which route I wanted to go. I looked at G-floor, racedeck but for what I needed I couldn't justify the cost, either could the wife.

I'll probly never have a full size car in this garage simple because theres no access to it without having to remove the fence that parts the 2 garages.
No big deal right now. I'm sure later that will change. For the mean time I opted for black and white peel and stick tile. I dont have any super heavy equipment to roll around so i think it will work for my needs.

I'm about 95% comptete.

Anyways sorry for the long 1st post.

Here are some before and after shots
