This is a garage that was built by an older lady and myself. I have yet to finish off all the trim and make garage portion air tight. The upstairs has 12x20 deck/porch, mostly covered. Upstairs also has an 28x20 560 ' apartment with all amenities excepting heating. A single slope attached lean-to 900' was added to cover boat and farm implements. Floor space of internal garage is 28x40 with outside covered work area(below upper deck) of 12x40. It has 2 horizontal barn "sliding" doors. All wiring, plumbing, and insulation was done by myself. Only the tie-in to meter was done by certified electrician. At the onset of this project, did determine that new/additional power service was needed and did rent trencher which allowed installation of 2/0 copper plus ground to several outbuildings. One can do this, if plan and sort it out.

As I am usually "on the outs" with ole lady, spend most of the time in apartment until driven in by cold weather. There is lot lacking in construction due to lack of manpower, lack of skills, and required lot of finiglin' to outsmart weight of 28' 12" c purlin be erected by two old people. Fortunately, steel was bought before price of metal got so high.
Well, loading of pics did not work for me here. Will try and add .

Yes that would be a 1.6 diesel with 5 speed parked under the porch. I have had to go into engine once due to my own ignorance concerning engine mount. Wish I had a 2nd. This one has been used as farm truck and am sure has tools in the back. I used it in our mountain place to pull 24" diameter logs. Also used it one time to pull the wife out who was stuck in a sand drift. A coworker of hers had given up after trying to do it with 4WD bronco. Took a little doing, but little feller gotter done. (They were trying to outhorse it, rather than outsmart it.) The downside to this truck is the area around the back glass was cut out to allow access directly to the bed which was covered in carpet. So the topper must remain to seal out rain. It may have been used as rolling whorehouse.
Sure like the looks of yours and reminds of one I used to have that was 5 speed gas. It was a ticket getter as had more balls than a lance marine. I had to run 2 radar detectors as it did not like to run slow! It would almost lug at 55MPH in 5th gear and loafed between 75-85.
Under the shed is a 24' barge and yanmar tractor. The VW pu is now parked there, but think will re-register and start driving again. This pu will not run fast enough to have a good wreck, but sure is good on fuel.
