Check out my outdoor garage! Here I am working on my brakes in my outdoor garage! Pleanty of fresh air, and frequent "rain" breaks makes it an all day event! Maybe Santa will bring me some walls, roof and a slab?

I still have many of my special tools from my "sky shop".

My collection of 1x12 and 4x4 wooden blocks for jack bases and drive on ramps, big piece of carpet to protect the rocks from my head and catch the falling objects, big A-frame for heavy lifting and my 4x4 post and rock style floor jack. Seriously might build a tailgate fold down work bench just for the nostalgia.

Now that I have a shop, I have been reclaiming the old sky shop back from the plant life that has taken over. Constantly finding parts that I had dropped or lost many years ago.

I did the "outdoor" garage for dozens of years. I hope you have a place to store your tools nearby. I built an 8'x8' shed at the end of my driveway back then. Good luck.

Mine has a concrete "floor", but you have to be careful, because at certain times of day, vehicular traffic is heavy, and some drivers don't notice your legs sticking out from under the car.

The lighting is great on sunny days.

But it's not a good idea to leave your tools laying about.

I've been wanting to install a lift, but traffic regulations prohibit that.

So far I keep all my tools in the basement. It makes for great exercise getting out to the car, then, "oh ****. I need a flathead screwdriver" , and back to get that, and "oh ****. I forgot the ratchet. LOL!

Good news is if your jacks aren't tall enough you can just build yourself a pit to get more room!
