My parents garage

So after organizing my parents attic they requested that I help tidy up the garage. They don't require a workspace but they would like it neat, its a two-bay and its bare. Basically they have some garden tools, snow tools, lots of car care/garden liquids, always a ton of water/soda, quite a few paint cans and other miscellaneous stuff.

I was looking for some creative low-cost solutions to getting it cleaned up, there is basically no budget... What I do have is a bit of wood, pvc, square metal tubing and some hanging hooks. I was thinking that for the garden/snow tools I could hang from hooks, pvc could dispense soda and hang from wall. The biggest pain is probably the bottles for car liquids and stuff, it would be nice to have a cabinet for this stuff but i'm not up for making one and they don't want to buy one...

What kind of stuff do you guys do to keep all this junk organized?

Look on craigslist for some used kitchen cabinets. You might even get some free. Paint them, mount them to the wall at the studs and put some shelving on top of them. I actually used left over sheet rock on mine and it's been there for about 11 years now and works just fine.
