Just wanted to pop in and update how these are doing.
Since install, Everything has been perfect, units still put out ice cold air, no problems, and all is 100% perfect.
On a little quirky side note, i noticed that if i want Either of the rooms at 72, i have to put the temp on the remote to 75-78 depending on where my remote is sitting i guess. From what i remember, the thermostat is inside the remote. There are 3 slits on the back of the remote, i Assume that is where air circulates and tells the split the temp in the room. So the units do overcool sometimes but it’s nothing a temp change on the remote can’t fix. I suppose it’s a minor design flaw, or the thermostat in the remote not being sensitive enough to temp change, or not enough room air flow to the remote. Doesn’t really matter.
As for the Fuji units i installed the year or 2 before on the other side of the house before these Pioneer units, that is also working perfectly. No issues with temp control as i assume the thermostat for each wall unit is built into the unit where air moves most quickly around the room.
Electrical bill change is nominal.
A side note, i sold my tools to an internet acquaintance for approx $450 to recoup my costs for the install. Not gonna lie, wish i kept em all. I’m not hard on money and i got that robinaire vacuum pump for a steal off craigslist brand new. For those guys that go as far as i did, keep your tools if you aren’t hard up for money. I didn’t need the $450 and should have kept the tools. If i ever have issues down the road, i’ll have to source all the tools again and surely pay a premium for a new quality vacuum pump.
Still very happy i chose this route, happy with high seer, happy with GJ!
