I have been reading many of the different threads from all the members to get ideas. I figured I would start my own. Here is the first step of getting all of the decorations and other clutter off of my garage floor. I am going to be adding another shelf to help store more of my junk. My future plans are to add an epoxy floor coating, some cabinets to hide some of the larger power tools ( so that way my toys are kept out of sight), and a motorcycle lift to work on the bike. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome!

That storage shelf/loft looks stout; nicely done.
Give us some pictures of the interior and your dimensions. Do you have a layout in mind? If the garage is multipurpose, you might want to consider investing in a bunch of quality castors for carts, benches, and cabinets. Movable equipment gives you many options and you don't get hemmed in by one design. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you. The shelf didn't take long to build and I can climb up on it even with all the junk stored up there and it still doesn't move.
The garage is a 20x20. I have a ceiling height of 10'. So my plan for the only thing to be on the ground is my bike, workbench, and toolbox. Now that it is getting cooler out and I can work in there and not sweat like crazy I plan on building a shelf that will go from the end of the current shelf to the other wall. It will be about 12' long and maybe 4' wide. And I saw another thread (I don't remember who's) where he built a tool shed in the breezway between his house and garage. I was thinking of using a similar design to enclose the toolbox and the C-man tablesaw, mitre saw, and small compressor in. That way it is out of sight. It is a multi use space. I work on the bike, truck, and do a little wood work in it. The woodwork thing is the other reason I want to put everything behind doors to keep it all from getting covered in saw dust.
The only thing I haven't planned out yet is how to remove the oil stains from the concrete. As many a Harley owner knows, they like to mark their territory.

Well I built a little more to my playhouse. The new shelf measures 13' long and 3' wide. I also started to rehab an old Mac box I inherited from my old man.
I read through the 50's Craftsman thread and it inspired me to repair my old Cman electric impact wrench. I have no idea how old it is. I went to searspartsdirect.com to try to get a new cord. I entered the info from the wrench and they had no info on it. So I just went to Home Depot and bought a generic one.
