I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my Racedeck flooring for the garage. Have been going back and forth between different flooring options to replace my Rustoleum water based epoxy I put down after garage was built three years ago. After finding out the amount of prep work required to put a solid epoxy down I decided Racedeck was the way to go. Tiles were delivered on Wednesday and now just waiting on my friend to have time to help with the install. I plan on using the landscapers felt underneath just in case the noise would be an issue. I will post photos once project is complete.

What size of garage do you have? If you don't mind me asking how much it costs?

Let me know how this works for you. I am in the same neck of the woods and keep saying I am going to do the same thing. I can't make up my mind on the color or pattern though, design just isn't my thing.

Finally got the floor down. All in all wasn't to bad to put down, product is great to work with. Think I"ll be sore tomorrow though. Here are a few pictures, I'll get some better ones when nicer outside.

I went with free flow in the middle and snap carpet around the outer 4 ft. I'm very happy, just vac the free flow a couple times a year.

I did use the felt, can't really comment on how it worked since I have never walked on a RaceDeck floor that didn't have the felt underneath. My floor doesn't really make any noise that you notice and everyone has been impressed with it.

Thanks! I'll probably go with it as well.

Looks great! I just purchased 4' by 17' worth of tiles to see if I could like Racedeck flooring in my garage, and a rubber mallet would have come in handy. Using your fist on a few tiles isn't a problem, but by the last tile, not so much :)

i just step on the seam to snap the tiles together. works well except for when you're wearing squishy running sneakers.

I wash my vehicles inside my garage weekly. How does the Race Deck shed & drain water? Mold issues?

Hi
I also wash my vehicles in my garage often and throughout the winter months here in Utah. RaceDeck is made from a high-impact PP and is not porous.RaceDeck is resistant to mold and odor causing mildew, unlike rubber mats or vinyl mats. RaceDeck is also suspended a full 1/2" to 3/4" with channels to allow moisture and air to circulate. If you garage is pitched out or to a drain, liquids will flow out. If not, it will evaporate just as it does on a open bare floor. FreeFlow is another great option for a very wet area
