So I was in Sears today and they had a Craftsman chest not sure of model but it was black with anodized red trim and a power drawer was regular like $719 and it was on clearance due to being dented at the very bottom below bottle drawer for $234. I was at the check out excited as hell with sticker and guy just had rang it up and a ******* Sears employee and a dude walks up to the box and I said I was buying it and Sears guy said it was already sold and tell me how when the clearance is right next to register and they we're no where around and I was at register for awhile, wouldn't be whomever is at check out with it first and has it rang up the one to get it? I was so pissed I exploded cussed up a storm told the cashier never mind on the rest of my stuff and told them F***k this pace and I'm never shopping at Sears again lol, and well I mean it I'm still **** hurt about it they can go under for all I care my wife was wanting to order a new Snap On box and our guy is supposed to but said snap on place he places an order to has been closed for holidays and I don't want to go in debt of 4g and that's after $2000 off price and a custom order in a color not offered in catalog guess I'll just get it hell beats that craftsman, I did look at the HF 44 and it was nice but not digging red or husky black.

I know it didn't and I checked it out for a good while before I decided to buy it and was check out for awhile, while waiting for my wife as she was looking at some stuff heck if it werent for her I would have paid for it and they could have done nothing as it wasn't paid for yet and nobody was around it. Idk I got a short fuse and embarrassed my wife but heck I was already having one of those days, I don't ever shop at Sears I've only been to one 3 times and 1 times was just to warranty something, I'm not a fan of the Chinese stuff but I got plenty of craftsman tools I just bought them used.

You probably got the most awesome collection of tools among common people on this forum. I am a little surprised you went to that lowly Sears to buy tools/tool box since you have such a knack for finding unbelievable deals. Can we see pictures of your treasures? I know you have well over thousand Snap On tools just collecting dust. Is it why you went to Sears to buy another big tool box?

Sorry just had a **** day not just the Sears thing, if I smoked I would probably help but don't do it 420 is my bday
It is amazing that your wife wanted you to buy a Snap On box. Your Snap On tools will not look good inside HF or Craftsman box. Your none-Snap On tool box will develop a severe case of inferiority complex. I am a little surprised you did not buy the biggest and baddest Snap On box from the truck. What tool boxes do you have now to embrace your Snap On and HF tools?

I wanted a masters or epics but I got 6 kids and don't want to pay so much, I'm not a wealthy by no means just obsessed with buying tools, I got nothing but snap on and blue point toolboxes and bags ,I'm not just a snap on fan I have every other brand you can think of mostly pro brands but some craftsman I don't use, I have maybe 2000 sockets or more alone

It's hard to get a box that's a decent height I'm 6'5

Put some bigger wheels on the bottom of that box to raise it up and you might even have room for one or two of those rolling under-bed storage bins underneath to hold all the tools you don't yet have room in a box for.

Looks like the screw driver set is Snap On but other tools don't look like my Snap On tools. Your ratchets look like imitation Pittsburgh or HF. Did Snap On change its design?

It's was nice to hear someone say something nice as in complementing my tool hoard this place drove me to want nice stuff as I see a lot of peoples collections and felt like mine sucked, or I'd be embarrassed to show my stuff so now it took awhile but I feel like I got just about enough and when I get my new box in mid January I'll post a pics or do a video on my stuff, I just need to get the stuff out of these cardboard boxes and bags my whole bedroom closet which is a large walk in closet is full of my best of the best stuff my wife is about to kill me, she has some cool snap on stuff as well she like me likes the harder to get stuff but she doesn't even use a tool one.

Only that one wasn't snappy but the set in red box is and other ratchets is but are vintage, those ratchets are military long handles from 1963 mint condition as new and we're $200

The socket set in black holder are snap on metric, the extensions we're snap on, you must not now much about snap on, I like old and new and prefer hard to find stuff to collect and new sockets to use the metric set is my 3rd set of just snap on metric in new style.

I don't have too many Snap On - probably less than 10 and am not a Snap On expert. I don't think I know enough to be even a Snap On amateur.

Oh and the little chrome one isnt snappy but cool, the smallest compact head 3/8 I've ever seen. Like I said I don't just like snap on I buy whatever usually all USA or Mac, so, sk, Matco, cornwell but if it looks useful or those brands don't make it I buy it.

I started this year with none but now I could open a garage before I had a tiny box as all my stuff got stolen and never cared about a tool brand but just getting the job done, wish I was still like that really or well I'm sure my wife does as she has paid for a lot of my stuff

For what it's worth I am 6'7" and have the HF 44" box and I think it is a really good height.

I even made a top for the box out of hickory and refinished it. You would never know its HF.

I'm stuck watching the my kids and wife works only time I get out is to tool shop, I'm actually the nicest person usually but it builds up, not much of a life here taking care of screaming little kids and little baby here no friends anymore to hang with I'm 28, Im always home usually and bored to death.

6'7 wow, I looked at the HF boxes yesterday and they are made nice and a decent height I thought about getting one and butcher block and doing something like that and with all the add one you spend what a grand it's a great buy, I looked at the husky boxes and didn't like them at all, I looked at the craftsmanship and wasn't digging them as they are terrible, I need 2 boxes really even with a full HF 44 it won't hold my collection and my wife is set on a snap on and said I could get another as well, the snap on is for us to share and other for me, the snap on I can add to my truck bill or well wife's bill it's in her name but I'm thinking about the 44 for my second box unless I find a good deal on Craig's list.

Nothing like exhaustion and frustration with kids to cause a nice blow up with a frustrating situation. I've got 3 young ones, way behind on projects, trying to get a doctoral class done, and had the most frustrating millwork guy at Lowes. Can't order me an exterior 6" door frame and they might have the parts to build one but he can't be bothered to help; my wife kept me from going off too badly but I still ranted. Quick trip to the local ace hardware and problem solved.
Not a justification but I can see your situation.
