Holy **** punctuation man.

Could be worse... I heard Batman had a flat tire on the Batmobile a minute after it was backed out of the service bay with four new tires.

He was told there was a shortage of air.

Whoever "sold" that toolbox could have wrote "sold" on across the price tag.

Well, I got this figured out.. The Salesman reached in his shirt pocket and pulled out a tire gauge. The Serviceman reached in his pocket and pulled out a pen.

Best blame this one on the JOKER. Doubt anyone else would be willing to take responsibility.

Holy **** punctuation man.

My first thought exactly. This guy's elementary school grammar teacher should be drug out into the middle of a busy boulevard and caned by a couple of angry Filipino dudes for unleashing OP on the internet.

By the time I stumbled through that narrative, my head hurt and I was glad Sears somehow screwed OP.

Stuck watching?

It's called parenting - begin a dad.
I caught that too. I'm 35 and my wife and I have been trying for years with no luck. I'd like nothing more than to be "stuck" watching my child, so when I hear this kind of thing it especially bothers me.

I can't remember who told this joke originally, but here goes:
So this lady is an airport with a crying child. She looks disheveled, and reprimands the child. The child keeps crying. A young couple, thinks what has that horrible woman done to that poor child? Another older couple, trailing along 3 kids of their own, think to themselves; what's that little motherf*r up too? All a matter of perspective.

On a personal note, hang in there Figureitout. My wife and I had trouble too, went through the whole fertilization thing, decided to take a break, and it happened naturally. Keep a positive attitude, hopefully everything works out for you.

I don't mean it like that I just never get a second to myself even when I tool shop I'm having to watch them but my wife does whatever she wants I do all the cooking, cleaning, feed and give kids all the baths.
It's hell when you got 6 kids well 5 with current wife 1 with ex and you don't got a 2-3 month old that screams bluddy murder all the time maybe colic and others destroying the house and fighting and you never get even 1 second to tinker on a project in the garage you go nuts. It would be different if I had a wife who would help with an equivalent but I don't I do it all and always just take it with a smile but sometimes you release built up frustrations.
There's more frustrations that kids it's not them it's not having help or alone time all my kids are girls even I'm a man it's not my thing to do a woman's job, and I know plenty of men are single fathers but ask any of them with 6 girls of they don't get frustrated. I don't have to explain myself really.

I really don't give a **** about that beat up box anyways really if I want I could go buy the same one or any other box I want right now.
It was the Sears employee or manager that ticked me off at the wrong time so I share the story as I think it's funny not a serious I hate the world moment.
Oh and I don't give a **** about punctuation reall . I'm so sick of people posting about that and the rude comments how would you like if iI went to your thread and leave a ****** comment questioning your intelligence, uncalled for it's not like I have a keyboard to type with no a little phone and my fat thumb.
Now thanks nice commenters that's how it should be but this is the internet and every idiot on earth is on the internet trolling and saying whatever behind they're computer screen. I'm done with this thread as no reason it should have turned into this debate and actually my IQ is 150 I always placed top in my school and state and I'm not even from Indiana I'm from Florida. Sheesh tough crowd

I for one am glad Sears is going down in flames. Every customer lost due to ****** service or shady return policies and every store closed is well deserved. An American icon that had the potential to outshine and be everlasting turned to greedy owners, close minded marketing, couldn't give a **** employees and ignorance of policies/services. Sears has sucked for many years. Many will disagree but facts are facts. Stories like the OP's and many more like It helps to drive yet another nail in the Sears coffin. That coffin is running out of space for nails!

So this whole rant is because you wanted a tool box that was scratch and dent, but when you went to check out you found out it was already sold?

I don't normally complain about stuff or freak out in stores but I guess today was in do time. Sorry about punctuation I get carried away sometimes and don't pay attention just type fast and it's a phone.

You're actions was warranted and the clearance box should have had a "SOLD" signed, either printed or handwritten, on it. If I was the manager, I would have given you the exact same box 50% off to make it up to you and ensure you become a loyal returning Sears customer. Sorry to hear about that.

I think it is. My take on it is that he saw the box by the checkout and then wanted to buy it. Clearance items are never by the checkout. Someone hauled it up there to buy it.
