hello all, just wanted to share some photos of my recently finished garage floor project.

first, i cut a section out to re-pour a sunken section for a mid rise lift

then had someone come in and re-poured for me. its 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep around all 4 sides with 1/2 inch rebar drilled in the sides, and through the ground all tied in together. the center drops in 5 inches, and below is 6 1/2 inches deep of concrete.

Excellent idea! Can you stand up straight under the vehicle - or are you kind of in-between standing and sitting? Any difficulties doing things like catching the oil being drained as you now have to work around the floor recess area?
Looks very good!

depending on how tall you are, you might be able to, but i am 6'1 so i am in between the 2. i have the drain right at the edge, it works, but it is close.

are you going to put edging on the inside of the Racedeck as well? i believe they sell those.

also, did you reinforce the 6.5" of concrete witih rebar - and did you somehow tie it in to the existiing concrete?

nice job!

funny you ask that, i just got my shipment in for the rest of the edging both inside and around for racedeck.

i did tie it all in together. we drilled into the side of the existing concrete after the hole was cut and installed 1/2 thick rebar every 5-6 inches. then ran more rebar down into the ground, tied that with the other rebar with more rebar in the middle, basically making a web or bed where the center is poured and everthing all ties in together.

I am not that familiar with mid risers. Does the width of this mid rise lift limit the types of cars you can lift?

Thanks

well, it has adjustable arms that swing side to side, as well as have multiple locations to put them in. on top of that, they have pads that slide back and forth on the arms for adjustability as well. sorry, those pics i have are with the arms not mounted yet.

Might consider the padding used for basketball poles. Something like this...http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H3ACHG/?tag=atomicindus08-20

that is a good idea, thank you

WI hate to solicit on this forum but we sell these http://bit.ly/GRp9RD

hmmm, i like that a lot too. going to have to do something soon. thanks for the link

Looks great and nice installation. If you want to trim around the inside area, drop me a line and I can tell you how to.

Thank you. after this photo was taken, i actually already called you guys and ordered all the trim to finish off around the middle and the upper sides too
