You can have all the other rooms in the house, but this one's mine!

Man, don't know how you would keep that clean. Soo much white, with a little burnt orange. Is the wall cabinet have under lighting? Is that a freezer with beer taps on wheels? rolling keg?

just a quick sweep to pick up the dog hair and crud. Occasional mop to clean off tire prints. Yes, you're right about the under lighting. The tape I had leftover from the ceiling lights went under the cabinets, work bench and in the ammo cabinet. Right again on the chest freezer. External thermostat controls temp and I can wheel it to the back yard or to a thirsty friend's house.

What LED strips did you use for the ceiling? Makes a much cleaner look than surface mounted fixtures provided you can get enough "output" in lumens.

Thanks Wasfast!
I went with AlloyLED's Prima Line 6.6, gen 2 in a 5000 kelvin color. See link.

https://www.alloyled.com/primaline-6-6-gen-2-led-tape-light

The web says output is 835 lumens/foot. I calculated my total lineal footage produces over 67,000 lumens. I like bright. I used 24 volt Emcod drivers which provide very steady dimming, when I happen not to like "bright". The tape is within Alloy's Surfa 6 channel which with lens cover, is .88" high. Very happy with the results.

Thanks Modern Jess! Your shop is looking good! I see you have a very organized parts bin set up. In it's last life, my bins were all wall mounted pull-out bins. It worked well but I wanted portability. I chose to put it under the work bench which was otherwise largely wasted cubic footage. I inventoried all my loose fasteners, fittings, etc. and that amount of space was adequate. Then after looking at Dewalt and other vendors, I settled in on Sortimo products. I got a combination of their T Boxx, L Boxx 136 and the L Boxx 238. The big ones are great for bulk tool storage while the smaller ones can be set up with different internal bins to accommodate your various parts. I keep an empty bin for travel that I just put in the one bin of fasteners that I need. Saves taking several heavier bins to a job site. I worked with my cabinet guy to fab up a melamine cabinet that can roll out and allow spider web removal. I'll send a closer pic. Thanks and happy garaging!

Re: Sortimo Organizers

Closer detail of parts storage

Nice, thanks! I thought they were Sortimos in the first set of photos, but was thrown off by them being arranged sideways. I can see why you did it that way, given the depth of the bench. Do you find that they're difficult to pull out in this arrangement, without being able to grab the handles?
