Well as I promised the lines really pop but let me warn those who want to do this its very time consumming. I got the 2 coats of rust bullet down but then I had to let it dry so I could mask off for the lines. I then had to sand the whole floor mask it off (took almost 6 hrs.)then paint the lines. I then clear coated the floor.

I first tryed a floor buffer to sand with but that was too aggresive so 1 of my sections is really grayer than the rest still looks good just differant than the others.I ended up using a slow air powered sander 120 grit to do the floor and a lot of knee time. I did not have a solid plan for my lines when I started. I would advise to work that out first so you can do small sections rust bullet, then lines then clear coat it so you DONT HAVE TO SAND IT! My stupidity.
The material was more than enough to do the job with. I did this by myself. I would recomend to get at least 1 other person to help. I got shut down by rain so watch the weather.
DO NOT GET RUST BULLET ON YOU! It wont come off.

Now this stuff is unlike any paint you will ever see or use. I think the product is great but follow all the recomendations to the letter and you will be fine.
I'm so pleased with the out come the look of it and make sure you use a respirator. Good luck to every one with their projects. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Well ... Rust Bullett does come off your skin. Takes two to three weeks for it to wear off!!!

All of what the OP said is 100% true and accurate. Rust Bullet is remarkable.

Nice job.

Looks really good! How smooth was your floor prior to putting the RB down? Did you have to do any floor prep?

The back 9 foot section was poured in 2000. I had put an off the shelf epoxy on it because at the time it was just a pole barn. After I retired I decided to pour the rest of the floor and do it in the rust bullet.

Not bragging but the limes really make it pop. The lines took 2 coats and a lot of time to mask and sand. then the whole floor had to be sanded. Makes for a great looking floor but beforewarned the lines are very time consumming.

The people at GarageflooringLLC really talked me through the whole process and took time to council me. I could not have done it without their support.

I HAD TO RENT GRINDER TO DO THE 9 FOOT SECTION TO GET THE OLD EPOXY OFF. THE REST OF THE FLOOR ABOUT 30 X 30 I JUST HOSED AND SCRUBBED HOSED OFF LET DRY THEN SWEEP VACCUM AND THEN IT WAS READY FOR THE RUST BULLET. i POURED THE MAIN CONCRETE IN JANUARY AND WAITED FOR WARMER WEATHER TO DO THE FLOOR.
IN THE MEANTIME I HAD AQUIRED SOME TIRE TRACKS ON THE CONCRETE THAT HAD TO BE ADDRESSED WITH THE RUST BULLET SOLVENT AND A 3M SCRATCH PAD THAT TOOK THE TIRE MARKS OFF THEN IT WAS READY AFTER SCRUBBING WITH SOAP AND WATER.

tHE FINISH WAS FAIRLY SMOOTH . JUST FOLLOW THE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AND IF YOU RUN INTO A PROBLEM CALL GARAGEFLOORING LLC . tHEY ARE SOME EASY PEOPLE TO TALK TO AND THEY ARE HERE ON THE SITE. AGAIN I LOVE MY FLOOR AND WOULD TELL ANYONE THAT I RECOMEND IT.

Floor looks schmick! I was contemplating RB but the cost over here was prohibitive.

Just curious, why does the grey not look consistent in the pics. Nature of the product?

The floor looks great!
I wonder which brand car lift you have. I am considering getting one, just for my own cars and truck maintenance (so I do not need a professional type car lift , like Rotary Lifts). Off hand I think 8,000 lbs rating or may be 10,000 lbs. I am in Indiana and could pick one in Indy and save $250 on shipping cost. The dealer is Greg Smith and they carry Atlas brand (they are blue so yours must be some other brand). There is also a dealer in Geenwood (only 25 miles away) and he carries Titan lifts. How did you decide to get that particular lift?

On the lift it is a challanger lift . MADE IN USA. Its a 10000 lift. Just make sure the lift you buy is ALI approved. I chose this lift because of the arm configuration. Good luck with your lift.

The inconsistant color is I had to grind the entire floor after the rust bullet dried
in order to mask for the lines. when you sand the dried rustbullet it reveals a dark gray against a light gray. You will see it unless you were to repaint it after doing the lines.

Thanks about info on the lift. Will look up Challanger. I checked Rotary Lift, but they are quite more in quality (and price) that I need. What's ALI?

Thank you again,
Rod

ALI American Lift Institute. They are the people that set the standards for certification. If a lift is not certified I would not care to get under it.They make sure that a lift will safely lift what the capacity says it will. Be aware that there are several good lift manfacuters out there but if they are not certified I would steer clear of them. 500 dollar diferance is not worth your life.

That looks really nice.

It looks like it would be easy to clean up a spill now.

Let me ask; if you don't mind, how slick is that floor?

I'm a bit ungraceful and tend to slide a lot. I was looking at the coin top from one of the snap-in floor type substrates to go over my concrete. It needs to be able to handle a loaded 1 ton truck and such. When I got the quote last month, I was floored (pun intended). $9K for materials! In the end they said they'd cut me a better deal but then I figured out that it will not hold up to weld spatter. I do love the feel of coin top but that's a deal killer for me.

That is the benifit of the clearcoat. The clear has a textured non slip additive in it believe me I was almost tempted not to put the clear on but this will be a working garage and I was fearfull of slipping on it. With the top coat its plenty slip proof.
