1) I'm tool old for this ****. This will be the last SEMA for me. My knees are killing me.
2) Fedwrench will give you the latest dope of SK as he quizzed them. You buy American fans aren't going to like his report. I have never liked S-K so I'm not going to comment on his discussion as I am obviously biased.
3) Gave the Milwaukee guy a ton of **** about the "B" model of the high torque. He tried to feed me some ******** that this was an attempt to increase it's speed. I told him it was a glaringly obvious attempt to increase their profits and that he could stick that excuse where the sun doesn't shine. OK it got a little heated, **** 'em I don't care.
4) Asked Mr. Milwaukee when they were going to introduce their pouch batteries as Chervon (FLEX) and DeWalt have. Got another non-answer.
5) New high speed extended reach ratchets are interesting in that both the 1/4" and the 3/8" have basically the same head size which is tiny. See no reason to buy both.
6) New M12 band files are going to be killer tools.
7) Lisle always impresses me with their new tools. Cheap and effective.
8) Astro is going to introduce a really cool tool suggested by our man Fedwrench. It's an 18" long handle that uses their Nano sockets. Provides a KABO like long wrench that goes up to 24mm for low dollars.
8) I now know who's making Harbor Freight's new digital ICON torque wrenches with angle. The answer is KABO which is likely the best tool maker in Taiwan and who makes all of the Mountain, ICON, and everybody else's long ratcheting flex head wrenches. KABO is super high quality so Harbor Freight wins again.
Now we get to spray guns which are near and dear to my heart.
1) Ecometer, which I think is how they spell it, is the new English owner of Sagola and is insane for doubling the price of Sagola spray guns. Walcom is in the same boat. Both of these make superb spray guns but both think that they can charge SATA prices for their stuff which as new market entries they can't. SATA took 30 years to establish themselves as the king of the professional spray gun market and if these fools think they can take on the king without offering a deal they're nuts. Sagola has been in and out of the American market about 10 times and this will soon become the 11th. Come in at half the price of SATA and within three years you will be able to play with the big boys SATA, Iwata and DeVilbiss. What IDIOTS.
2) Iwata introduced the Supernova Series 2 version. Apparently it took them ten years to figure out that the splits in the nozzle have to line up with the aircap to avoid splitting the pattern at wide open fan. This problem is easily solved on the original WS400 by simply turning out the fan only two and a half turns from fully closed. See little need to upgrade my favorite gun.
