Notice I refrained from saying it was "finished". <grin> :) Plum ran out of $$ and this will have to do for awhile until I can save more $$ for other stuff like framing it out for insulation and drywall, electrical, stairs to 2nd story, flooring for 2nd story, more cabinets, more tools, etc... I guess I will never say "finished" since this will be a lifelong adventure anyway and things will always be added or taken away.

Anyway, got my permit a couple weeks back and last week moved all my shop related stuff from my garage over to my new shop. Was surprised to see I had such a mouse problem as I found many dead mice all sorts of mice ****. They sure make themselves at home. My garage is now cleaned out and de-con is all over in there so hopefully they move on.

Anyway, I just finished sticking everything up on a shelf or in a cabinet and now can say it is ready to work on my VWs. Over time I will figure out where to put everything and collect more tools. My shop is small (20x20) so I will have to take advantage of every nook and cranty I can and get some cabinets up on walls one day. 1st thing though is to build stairs (which will take some precious space but oh well) and floor upstairs so I have nice office and storage up there. 10 foot sidewalls so nice and tall. 12 pitch roof so I have a decent size upper office area one day say 10 foot wide x 20 foot long with 6.5' ceiling height.

Here are a couple pictures before I push my non op VWs inside. Will be tight in 20x20 but VWs are small so I can park them both inside and then when I want to work on one, push it out, etc...

I have a pile of NOS mufflers out in the shed (non-VW), and I shudder to think what is in them. Wasp nests, I can guarantee. What else.....who knows?

Mine had pillow stuffing from the dogs beds because they rip them up and little foam all over the place. Mice during the night would steal the fuzzies I guess and make homes along with some insulation I had in the garage. That mixed with pine nuts, bird seeds of every kind as my wife has tons of bird feeders in the yard so mice have all sorts of good food, plus you name it. Took me 1/2 hour of using a needle nose and little flexible grabber deal to get this **** out and I bet there is still some in there. I will have to try blowing it out with compressed air before I use it.

Next time I will duct tape all openings. Two were done but I forgot one. Doh! :lol_hitti

Thats a nice one! Looks like a witches' shed :)
and yeah, you're right, VWs do not need much space.
Here are pics of my shrine, as I took it over. since then I spreaded paint on walls and floor, now thinking about a wooden floor. it is a quite symmetrical double garage with two entries on either side, the other side hosts my 71 baywindow vw bus.
