Hello, I am a new poster and a long time lurker. I decided that it may be time to show my garage. Just a little background info we purchased this property on a short sale in Dec 2009. Overall everything was in pretty good shape but we spent nearly all last year on various projects to make it our home. The house and shop sit on 2.5 acres about 10 miles outside of a large city. We were city dwellers before and are now really enjoying the privacy and quiet living the country provides. We could not be happier. The house has an oversized 2 stall garage that we created into a party room that houses are vehicles. We use this room for entertaining a lot. With regards to the shop it is 36X48. The shop was finished when we bought the property but we added our own touches. Hopefully overtime I will be able to add more of the amazing ideas that I have found on this site.

Looks great:thumbup: What's behind the door in the corner? Air compressor or furnace? (orange door) The floors also look good. Are they just sealed or are they acid stained?

That is a compressor room and actually adds quite a bit of storage. As far as the floors it is am industrial strength epoxy coating.

I've never seen a ceiling done up like that, what a great idea! I can see that it reflects the lighting very well. Very nice shop...

Thanks Fellas for the nice comments. I agree about the ceiling as it does really reflect the light well. I was lucky the shop was completely tinned out when we bought the place. There are things I would have done different if I built the structure but we feel very lucky and count our blessings.

We work on snowmobiles during the winter season. Mostly just regular maintenance and such but it is very nice having a heated garage to keep the snow and salt off of them after a day of riding. My dad is into Hot Rods and has 5 of them so we work on them too when his shop is filled. Unfortunately no hoist because the shop really cannot accomodate one. My friends routinely bring stuff over to work on and I don't mind because they generally supply the beer. I will be gaining an older gas pump this Sunday so that will be a fun project.

looks really nice and clean. enjoy that wonderful space.. about that interior wall and ceiling. I have a friend that builds metal shops/garages. as his main business. and that is the way he build all his clients buildings. with fully insulated walls and ceiling. and they are all very bright buildings inside. I just wish I had some pictures of them to put on here

Very nice shop!! I really wanted to put the while metal inside my 36x45 but it would have busted the budget even more than it already was. It really makes it bright in there and easy to clean! I like the floors too.
