Here are ssome interior and exterior shots of My shop/hangout, and some of My Toys/projects. It is a 30 x 40 Mueller building. Sprayed on foam insulation, with unit heater for heat and Evap cooler for summer. This drought/heat wave has made me realize I need to put in some tubine vents. The foam insultion in combination witht the high ceiling traps the heat.
I wish now I had built a 30 x 50, but even that would not be big enough, I guess.
The North elevation from My back porch.

some interior shots, sorry for the poor quality.

One can never own too many motorcycles.
I spend about 16 hours a day out here, so a couch, big screen and stereo was a necessity.

Having hell with Photobucket today....
I added a box off a reefer truck onto the west side. Bead blaster, grinder, welder and plasma cutter in there to keep the mess down some.

I collect old signs, as you may have guessed.

Thats My space. Coming from a Aviation Maintenance background, I try to keep it clean. I finally realized I aint building Tiltrotors in here, just bikes! I used to move everything out on the driveway every 2 weeks and mop the place with bleach. Now......I try to sweep once a month.

Thanks, TB. Notice the green fatigue jacket between the SHELL and FIRESTONE signs. My Dad wore that for a solid month, as an 17 year old Marine, on Iwo Jima.

I didn't notice the jacket but that is a VERY cool thing to have. My dad was on PT boats and he saved the flag off of the stern of PT213 at Anzio 1944. He had it mounted and framed and I got it when he passed away (2001 @ 81 years.) When I finish the "office" in my garage it's going in there along with a framed display of all his ribbons.

I don't mean to **** into your thread but I gotta show this:

Tinbender, I have always been fascinated by the PT boats. That is very cool! Thanks for sharing! Did You notice the two rifles hanging from the ceiling? Those are japanese Arisaka Type 38 with the intact insignia, also from Iwo. Ifigured why keep all that stuff in a closet? I have a lot more WW2 stuff, but not room for it.

Bronson I was wondering when you were going to show us the shop. Very nice!

NT, I just checked out Your build thread. Very nice. I was very happy with Mueller. Also put a Mueller roof on My house. I wish My shop was bigger, though.....I immediately noticed the little 72 honda. Hanging in My shop is a 72 Honda SL-100 I am restoring, eventually. Frame is PC and tins painted, just need more hours in the day. Are You building bikes?

I thought I noticed the front end of the Sl-100 in your shop. Once I am done with the garage and a couple of other house projects I plan on doing a bike project.

I have built a couple. Here is a very low dollar build I did for My Dear Friend , Birney Jarvis. Birney is a FORMER Hells Angel and Police beat reporter for the San Fransico Chronicle. He was also the model for the character, Jim Bronson, of the TV show and movie , "Then Came Bronson". This pic was last year, as He was leaving My shop. We were heading for Jackson Hole, for the 41st anniversary of the movie.

My thought exactly! At least bikes don't take up a huge amount of room. You have a nice diverse collection there. And it looks like you could handle any job that comes along. Which one was the most difficult to restore so far? Where do you go to find spare parts?

Keep sharing the little details of your shop and bikes with us.

Thanks, Shopnut. I think, really , the 69 Honda Z-50 AK-1 was the toughest. Original parts are fought over by restorers. I finally won an original tail light bracket on e-bay, for $180! You can get all kinds of re-pop stuff, but original parts are hard to get. That bike came to Me in zip lock baggies and cigar boxes, and by the time I finished, I had almost $4000 in it, and a LOT of hours. Also....The Then Came Bronson replica has been difficult AND expensive....No matter how much I have spent on it, it is still just an old Ironhead Sportster! The cool part is the 5 page feature that MOTORCYCLE CLASSICS magazine did on it, last September.

Wonderful jobs!

I've always thought the fold-down bars on those Z-50's was a cool idea. Just flip them down and toss it in the trunk for that camping trip - but I'm guessing you don't do that with your beautiful bike. :)

Ebay has certainly opened a bunch of doors for finding original bike parts. I don't know what I would do without it.

Wow! Pretty cool place.
I remember well your place and didn't realize it was only 30x40. I think you have it arranged great 'cause it looks much larger. Except I can't find your pool table, bar or head.
As you know I'm on a pretty tight budget. The insulation sounds great but after the barn that is about as much as I will have for all the stuff I really need such as pool table, bar, etc. Got a bar in the casa to move out to the barn but a pool table will cost a grand to 1200 for a used one in good shape. Not to mention all the bribery stuff I have to buy the lil' woman so I can spend a schidt load on this project.

Okay. In order to shorten this and avoid the frustration of a computer illiterate old fart let me say here Bronson turned me on to this site and he needs a T-shirt.
